Iv always had a desire to explore regions of the world outside of the North London bubble which I have lived in for the best part of 24 years. Oddly I do have a love for most things that reside within the M25, its my home and unquestionably - always will be. However, like with most geologists, the urge to move on and climb every volcano that this planet has to offer, eventually becomes too great. That urge began 2 years ago and finally with 6 months of solid planning, my time has finally arrived.
So, 12 days to go, I supose im almost there. Most of my weeks leading up to this point have generally been filled with excitment and anticipation, punctured by small periods filled with a fear of cold dread. Nevertheless, with all feelings aside, the bags are essentially packed, the compass is set to east and at last, after my long wait, Im finally - ready to rumble.
